Time and place agreed for anti-mosque rally

ARRANGMENTS for an anti-Islam protest at a Harrow mosque have been made.

Stop Islamisation of Europe (SIOE) leader Stephen Gash says he has met with the police and agreed the time and place for a rally held in opposition to Harrow Central Mosque, in Station Road.

The group will gather at 2pm in Harrow Council's car park, opposite.

The organisation's plans have met with widespread condemnation in the borough, with all three parties on the council uniting in opposition.

Unite Against Fascism (UAF) vows to counter the demonstration with a protest of its own, and there are fears those who turn out in support of the religious institution may clash with SIOE.

The mosque has urged its supporters not to protest.

SIOE claims to have the support of people in the borough and called for them to attend.
