Graduation ceremony for Edgware school pupils

A SPECIAL needs school in Edgware held a graduation ceremony today for pupils leaving to go to secondary school.

The Year Six pupils at Woodlands School watched specially prepared videos celebrating their achievements at the school, during the annual ceremony held this morning.

Pupils come from across the borough to the primary school, in Bransgrove Road, which caters for children with severe learning difficulties.

At the graduation ceremony, staff performed live music and the children watched a demonstration from the bell ringers from St Mary's Church in Harrow-on-the-Hill.

Mayor of Harrow Councillor Eric Silver handed out certificates to the departing pupils, and congratulated them on their hard work during their time at the school.

Joe Minns, a teacher at the school, said: “It was a great occasion, and all the pupils responded to seeing themselves and having their achievements celebrated.”
