A HARROW restaurant has run into difficulties over allegations it hosted a after-hours private party with dancing girls.
Richard Le-Brun, food safety team leader for Harrow Council, has called for a review of the licence of Dawat Restaurant after witnessing an incident on June 5.
He has reported seeing the shutters down at around 11.15pm, with customers ducking under to get into the restaurant, which he says is a fire hazard.
He goes on to say an announcer inside gave instructions on what to say if police raided the premises, and was heard saying the phrase “before moving on to the final act and getting the girls out”.
Mr Le-Brun also expressed concern that no one was being checked for their age before going into the restaurant, in Streatfield Road.
A licensing hearing will now be held in front of a three-man panel of councillors, who will assess whether any action should be taken against the restaurant bosses.
