A COMMUNITY market will pitch up again this weekend after a successful introduction last month.

The Duck Pond Market which is held at in the grounds of Harrow Museum, in Pinner View, was set up by a resident, Caron Pook, after she saw a need for “an ethical market” in the area.

All the stalls are run by small independent businesses who provide produce from in and around the borough.

The farmers and craft market features more than 50 stalls. A host of sweet and savoury food stalls will be set up this Sunday alongside craft stalls selling handmade jewellery, clothes, and hand crafted gifts.

Children will be able to enjoy a petting farm where they can feed the pigs, cows, lambs and ducks, as well as have the chance to cuddle baby rabbits and guinea pigs.

Live music will provide entertainment and the museum's exhibitions will be open to the public.

The market will take place from 10am until 3pm, and organisers said: “Not only is it a great day out, but it is your chance to support local businesses and get some great food and treats.”
