PUPILS from an Edgware school are gearing up for an all night charity relay starting today.

Students from North London Collegiate School will be walking laps at its grounds in Canons Drive as part of Relay for Life, an event organised to raise money for Cancer Research.

Thirty-one teams are taking part in the event, which starts at 1pm and finishes at 9am tomorrow morning.

Former Radio One DJ Tony Blackburn and actress Juliette Stevenson will be among the guests at Candles of Hope, a special ceremony at 8.30pm.

There will be a lap of silence around the track in memory of those who have lost their lives to cancer.
