HUNDREDS of copied DVDs have been seized on the streets of Harrow as police swooped on illegal traders.
Four illegal traders arrested by Harrow Police had copies of the latest box office hits among the 700 fake DVDs seized.
Cops and trading standards officers swooped in on the town centre and arrested four men, all thought to be illegal Chinese immigrants.
Several box office titles were found in the haul of DVDs seized, including Batman: the Dark Knight, X Files, and Mamma Mia the movie.
Almost 3,000 illegal DVDs have been seized in the town centre since a new police force was set up to patrol the streets.
The team has made 76 arrests, for crimes ranging from shoplifting and public order to assault and drugs, but have focused on illegal DVD sellers, bringing about three ASBOs, a four-month suspended prison sentence, and a 12-month ban from Harrow for the culprits.
