AN artist who lived opposite the site of a South Harrow explosion has said painting the wreckage has helped him cope with the shock.
Dan Hall, 27, moved back into his house, at no 22 Stanley Road, last night (Wednesday) and is now cleaning up the rooms and corridors.
He said: "I was painting when the explosion ripped through the exterior of my house. I've been doing paintings from the police cordon since then. It's been my solace."
Much of Dan's existing art was damaged by shrapnel from the blast, and while he can restore some of the work others will be ruined.
He is insured for most of the damage done to the house but is not covered for the paintings.
