A PINNER pub is facing strong opposition to its plans for an extension to its licensing hours.
The Starling, in Rickmansworth Road, Pinner, has asked for permission to show films, have cabaret shows, play live music, and have dancing until 1am on weekdays and 2am on Saturdays and Sundays.
But residents have formally objected, writing to Harrow Council arguing the pub should not be allowed a late licence.
Elaine Mollett, who lives opposite the pub, said: "The noise from the car park and people leaving the pub would disturb residents at such a late time.
"This is a built up residential area with enough noise generated from the pub in front and Tesco behind my property without extending their licensing hours."
Mary Devabalan, of Rickmansworth Road, added: "Excessive drinking will result in behviour that is unruly and untoward. Please do not approve this licence."
The pub will learn if its application has been successful at a meeting at Harrow Civic Centre, in Station Road, at 7pm on Thursday, April 3.
