STAFF at Mount Vernon cancer centre are researching the effects of a blood thinning agent on lung cancer patients.
Doctors believe Dalteparin may increase the quality of life for lung cancer sufferers and stop them getting blood clots.
Dr Janette Dickson, a researcher at the centre said: "We are working hard to find better and more effective ways to treat this difficult illness."
