GAVIN MAHON insists Adam Johnson provides Watford with that all important spark of ingenuity.
Johnson has been in sensational form since he arrived from Middlesbrough on a three-month loan deal, playing a major part in Watford's rise to the top of the table.
Mahon, like all Watford fans, is hoping Aidy Boothroyd can persuade Gareth Southgate to allow the England Under-21 winger to remain at Vicarage Road until the end of the season.
"He gives us something different," said the captain. "He's a top, top player and we've done well getting him.
"He's got eveything," he added. "He looks quicker with the ball than he does without it. He can drop his shoulder and go both ways, he delivers a great ball and he can score goals with his head and his feet. He's one of the best wingers I've played with."
