A Village Remembers

To commemorate the end of the First World War, Bushey Museum is putting on display a number of panels from the highly successful 2014 exhibition, A Village Remembers. The panels tell the story of how the people of Bushey and Oxhey responded to the Great War. The fascinating series reveal what happened to the many local men who joined up and tell us the ways in which those left on the home front contributed to the war effort. One hundred years on, we learn of the effect of the war and its privations on this local community and see the legacy that the war left.
