Volunteers will rush through multi-coloured foam to raise money for a hospice caring for people with life-limiting illnesses.

St Luke’s Hospice will hold its annual Bubble Rush event at Kenton Recreation Ground on September 23, following a successful first year.

Participants are invited to run, jog or even walk the 5km “family friendly” course amid a wall of coloured bubbles.

All proceeds will go to the hospice.

Zarmeen Ahmed’s family took part last year: “Our family of four took part in the past and really enjoyed the event so were excited about Bubble Rush.

“Living in Kenton I know many people who have benefited from the care provided by the hospice.

“It is a great social and family event where we can get together with other families and have fun whilst at the same time raise funds for an excellent cause.”

Bubble Rush registration includes a t-shirt, a medal on completion, fundraising pack and certificate for those who raise the most money.

St Luke’s provide care for people with cancer and other serious progressive illnesses, such as motor neurone disease and heart, lung and kidney failure.
