A fundraising group who set up projects to improve their community have donated some dictionaries to schoolchildren.
The Rotary Club of Northwick Park in Kenton visited Earlsmead Primary School in Harrow on July 19 to present the illustrated dictionaries to pupils about to go to secondary school.
Earlsmead headteacher Norma Marshall was reportedly “delighted” each school leaver received a book to help them improve their vocabulary. The students were said to have appreciated the gesture.
The Rotary Club included a series of “definitions” inside the front cover, so each pupil could understand what the club does.
Parents and other Earlsmead students were there to see the presentation.
