A bank will host an arts and crafts workshop to prepare children to go back to school.

Metro Bank in St Anns Shopping Centre in Harrow is one 57 stores to host the back-to-school crafts event on August 19, offering festivities for the entire community.

The family fun event will include a chance for kids to create their own personalised pencil case and the bank’s own mascot will be on hand giving out treats and goodies.

The event will run from 12pm to 4pm.

Iain Kirkpatrick, managing director of retail banking at Metro Bank said: “This is our very first back-to-school event which we hope will get kids ready and excited for the beginning of the term.

“So, put your creative hat on and pop in-store for some arts and crafts fun, as well as a great family day out.”

Metro Bank offers schools and groups free financial education through its Money Zone programme.
