The final journey home for many this week may not be as smooth as you hoped with problems on the roads and railways

Roads

Delays in several stretches of the M25. It is slow anti-clockwise from j21 for the M1 round to just before j18 for Rickmansworth because of an earlier crash where a vehicle hit the central reservation. At j19, it is very slow to get onto the motorway from the A41 roundabout.

Clockwise, traffic is queueing from j23 for South Mimms to just past j25 because of an incident. It's ;ed to long delays in the area including both directions on the A10 in Bullsmoor and in Waltham Cross.

It is also slow where the M25 meets the M11.

Heavy traffic both ways on the North Circular in Edmonton

Trains

Thameslink services are suffering enough but an earlier fallen tree has caused damage to overhead lines.

It means trains from St Pancras to Bedford are subject to delays of more than 30 minutes and cancellations.

Tube

Severe delays on District Line from Edgware Road to Wimbledon due to earlier signal failures at Wimbledon and Earls Court.

Minor delays from Earls Court to Richmond/Ealing Broadway and Barking to Upminster. Good service on the rest of the line. London Underground tickets will be accepted on South Western Railway and local bus services via any reasonable route.
