A councillor has spoken of the joys of living independently during old age as he helped open a new retirement development.
Cllr Krishna Suresh, a former Mayor of Harrow, visited Rosen House, in Hindes Road, to speak with developers about the new complex, which is made up of one and two-bed apartments.
He was joined by Cllr Sasi Suresh, former Mayoress of Harrow, for the ribbon-cutting as they enjoyed a guided tour of one of the borough’s newest developments for retirees.
He said: “Living independently and securely is extremely important; and with a growing number of people reaching retirement age I’m delighted developments such as this are being built to provide people in Harrow and beyond with a number of options to make the most out of their later years.”
