A summer festival celebrating cultural diversity with a pageant of food and music took place this weekend.

The GreAT Festival saw much of the community appear at Harrow Civic Centre on Saturday to take part in a variety of entertainments.

The much-anticipated summertime event was organised by the Greenhill Action Team (GreAT) in partnership with Asian Events Media and Harrow Council.

Under beautiful blue skies, guests had an opportunity to take part in go-kart racing, a football shootout and a funfair carousel. While the kids could play on a bouncy inflatable slide, a trampoline and driving classes for 14-16-year-olds.

Community members could also experience exciting taster sessions, live acts, music and a range of food.

One person said: “My daughter and I had a lovely time, walking around the stalls, listening to the music, and watching the performance of Marlborough Hill Primary School.

“My daughter also really enjoyed going on the huge bouncy castle and bouncing around in the huge balloon ball which was in a pool of water.

“It was a great event run by Harrow Council which was thoroughly enjoyed by the community who came out in force on a bright, sunny, and hot Saturday afternoon.”
