A charity summertime concert is set to make a welcome return this month by a forty-five-piece band specialising in film and show music.

On July 21 the BBC Elstree Concert Band will be performing a special Summer Concert comprising a programme of British and American classic pieces in the Speech Room at Harrow School on behalf of St Luke’s Hospice.

The evening’s entertainment will include performances from Sparke, Ticheli, Bernstein and those that were written specifically for a wind band.

All proceeds from the Harrow-on-the-Hill evening will go to St Luke’s Hospice who provide palliative care for people with life-limiting illnesses.

Concert organiser, Jess, said: “We are really excited to welcome the BBC Elstree Concert Band. The summer concert always has a lovely atmosphere and is something nice to do with friends”.
