More than 200 people affected by cancer took part in a Spring Walk over the Bank Holiday weekend raising over £2,000 for vital medical equipment.
Despite scorching temperatures on May 7, volunteers attended the annual Paul Strickland Scanner Centre Spring Walk at Chenies Manor, to raise money for Mount Vernon Hospital, Northwood.
The Spring Walk covers 10km (6.2 miles) with stunning views of the Hertfordshire countryside, including Chess Valley. And, more than 200 people affected by cancer, including their friends and family took part.

Event organiser, Caroline Wren, said: “It was really great that so many people came along to show their support for people affected by cancer.
“Together, they have managed to raise more than £2,000, with more sponsorship money coming in every day.
“We’re particularly grateful to Chenies Manor for giving once again giving walkers access to their tulip gardens without an additional charge.”
The Paul Strickland Scanner Centre is an independent medical charity who provide CT, MRI and PET-CT scans which are used to diagnose cancer and other serious conditions.
