A community group raising several thousand pounds for a children’s play area has published a list of exciting fundraising events in hopes of reaching its target.
The Friends of Pinner Village Gardens have so far raised £13,000 of the £45,000 overall cost it will take to build a children’s playground in the popular park.
Their next event is a 3km sponsored fun run around the park on April 29 and starts at 11am. Participants should meet at the climbing rock in the centre of the park.
After that, the Friends group will host a summer fundraiser in the park on July 7 offering refreshments, live music and fairground rides.
There will also be many stalls for family-led activities. The event will run from 12pm – 4pm.
The mayor of Harrow and other councillors are expected to attend.
