A small group of children were threatened and robbed of their mountain bikes.

At 3.30pm on Saturday afternoon, a group of teenagers, aged around 16 and 17, approached five children, aged 12 and 13, on the corner of High Road and The Rutts, in Bushey Heath.

The younger boys were chatting in a car park while sitting on their bikes when the larger group began verbally threatening them.

They ordered the boys to hand over their bikes and the robbers fled in the direction of Stanmore, on the bikes.

The bikes have since been recovered and returned to its owners.

Police are looking for any witnesses who may have seen what happened in the car park.

The group of around ten teenagers were of Asian and black origin, wore dark clothing, and had their faces covered in bandanas.
