Harrow-based amateur theatre group, will be performing Top Girls by Caryl Churchill later this month.

Originally written in the early 80s and featuring an all-female cast, Top Girls explores the nature of female success and the tug of war between a career and family life that so many women experience. We believe it to be as relevant now as it was when first written, and seems very topical given many recent events such as the centenary of the suffragette movement, International Women’s Day and the Time’s Up campaign.

In this amusing, provocative play Marlene celebrates her promotion to head of a recruitment agency by inviting five women from history to dinner at a restaurant. As the play progresses we compare their achievements and struggles with those of Marlene, her family and friends.
