The remains of a “mutilated” fox were discovered at a house.

Police were called to Cowbridge Road in Kenton, at 9am on April 4 following reports of a dismembered dead fox.

The butchered remains were found by a homeowner in their back garden.

Police said the head of the young fox as well the tail has been completely removed.

The incident is thought to have occurred the previous night.

Police said although no arrests had been made yet, the incident is being linked to a spate of animal killings being investigated under operation Tahake.

Police are working with SNARL, an animal rescue charity in South Norwood currently leading the Croydon “Cat Killer” investigation.
