A row of motorbikes were left burnt to a crisp after they caught alight in a residential street.

Firefighters were called to Glebe Lane, Kenton, after the incident was reported at around 12.25pm on February 4.

Cllr Nitesh Hirani, who represents the area, said it was fantastic to see the brigade have the fire, which created “a lot of smoke”, under control within minutes.

He said: “We must give credit to these heroes because what they do is very difficult and very impressive.

“A lot of residents had gathered to see what was going on but, thanks to the work of the firefighters, it was dealt with quickly.”

The cause of the fire, which reportedly affected five bikes, is unknown.
