Two people were taken to hospital and road closures were put in place following a car crash along a main road.

A woman, whose condition remains unknown, is believed to have suffered a chest injury following the incident in Headstone Lane, Harrow.

She was joined by a man, believed to be in his 20s, who was treated for a suspected head injury. This is not believed to be life-threatening or life-altering.

A Met police spokesperson confirmed that officers were called to the scene at around 12.40pm where they were joined by London Ambulance Service.

Road closures were put in place following the crash and drivers have been advised to avoid the area.
