A new 80-bed care home has welcomed its first residents after it opened its doors to the community over the weekend.
Buchanan Court, in Sudbury Hill, Harrow, is a purpose-built facility run by Care UK.
The £7.6 million home aims to give its residents the opportunity to live comfortable and satisfying lives while also promoting independence.
Home manager Angela Kamara said: “The team at Buchanan Court is looking forward to welcoming residents to their new home.
“We are really proud of the environment that has been created, and every last detail here has been considered to create a high-quality, luxury care home which will enable residents to live active and fulfilled lives.”
The home recently held special ‘open days’, which gave the public the chance to explore the facilities and talk to members of staff.
As well as getting an insight into the activities offered at the home, they were able to look around its own cinema, hairdressing salon and café.
