A charity is launching free exercise classes for those with multiple sclerosis.

The new charity, MS Positive, will launch its free pilates and Thai chi classes for those with multiple sclerosis, their friends and families, coinciding with the Jewish day of social action Mitzvah Day.

The class will be held at the Tang Long Chinese Culture Centre in Golders Green, and the charity hopes participants will also stay for refreshments afterwards to discuss how to provide support for those with MS.

Golders Green-based Toni Krok, who started MS Positive, was diagnosed with the condition 10 years ago and has raised £80,000 for the new charity by climbing Mount Etna.

She said: "Personally speaking, I have found exercise in general and pilates in particular helpful in managing my MS and living positively, whatever each day brings.

"Thai Chi also has proven benefits. I want to share my experience with others who are in a similar position.

"If you live in or around North London area and are affected by MS, please do join us to help get us off to a flying start."

The class will be held from 10am until 12pm on November 19 as a taster before classes official launch in the New Year.
