Pupils are hoping to relaunch their social enterprise.

In July pupils from Archer Academy took part in a project from Restart which taught them how to repair electricals brought in by the community that would otherwise be thrown away.

Now, the school is hoping to raise funds to expand the project.

They have joined in the Big Give Christmas Challenge 2017 and are being championed by charity the Childhood Trust, who will match the donations given between November 28 and December 3.

School governor Sarah Pearce, who is the chairman of fundraising and business development, said: "This is such an exciting community and intergenerational project.

"Our students loved the pilot, and we're thrilled to have been picked to receive match funding through the Big Give Christmas Challenge."
