An estate agents celebrated the official opening of its new office in the heart of the community as it continues to expand its services.

Stones Residential, based in Church Road, Stanmore, has created a new hub down the road in the recently developed Stanmore Place.

It serves a number of areas around Harrow and beyond and, in a bid to help as many people as possible secure their dream home, has set up camp in “an ideal location”.

Robert Stone, director at the business, explained how the new office would give them the opportunity to connect with their clients in and out of Stanmore Place.

He said: “This development has been very good to us. We’ve sold a number of properties here and still manage in excess of 120 separate units.

“We’ve been looking to branch out to Canons Park, Edgware, Kingsbury, Queensbury, and we can use the experience we’ve built up in the Stanmore office elsewhere.”

He added that the growth has enabled them to employ more people from the area, something which maintains Stones’ position as a family, community-based company.

“We’re a family-run business, we’ve 18 members of staff, and that’s how we like to work,” he said.

“At Stanmore Place there’s a real family atmosphere. It’s a fun development and a real melting pot – you’ve got older people, first-time buyers, a large Asian community and they all come together for street parties and celebrations.”

Stones’ own celebration saw the Mayor and Mayoress of Harrow, Margaret and Marilyn Davine, invited of guests of honour.

They were presented with a cheque worth £1,500, which will be split between The Mayor of Harrow’s charities.
