A care home has teamed up with stylists, a clothing line and a popular South Asian blogger to host a special fashion event for the community.

Karuna Manor, in Christchurch Avenue, Harrow, will host the event for residents and non-residents alike on October 8.

It is working with retailer Bonmarché as well as fashion experts Sanchali Sen – who comes from Harrow – and sisters Mandeep and Sharon from StylmK.

Sanchali explained how maintaining an interest in clothing and jewellery can have a positive impact as you think about retirement and beyond.

She said: “As we mature, our clothing needs do as well. Many of us tend to want comfort and balance mixed with style.

“As a result, choosing the right pieces for us or knowing how to style the pieces we already have can be extremely frustrating.

“This is an exciting opportunity to speak directly to people who still enjoy dressing up but are unsure of where to begin.

“I look forward to being able to offer my to address any wardrobe concerns guests may have including showcasing a few great pieces for inspiration.”

Organisers said they want the day to be a fun, relaxed affair where people can come and share their interests while asking any fashion-related questions they want.

They hope to bring the community together to enjoy the latest trends in beautiful surroundings and gain advice on how to make fashion accessible in any situation.

The event takes place from 4pm to 5.30pm at Karuna Manor, for further information contact Parveen Singh on 020 3818 7225 or parveen@wallacehealth.co.uk
