A man was left with a fractured neck and five people were arrested after a fight broke out on the London Underground.

The incident, which involved six men, started at around 1.30am on August 8 at Waterloo Station and ran until Wembley Park Station, where violence spilled out onto the platform.

One of those involved was described by the British Transport Police (BTP) as black with a Mohawk haircut and beard who was wearing a bright purple suit with a brown and gold Moschino pattern on it.

Another man, who joined the fight at a later stage, was described as black, wearing a blue jumper with white stripes, grey trousers and carrying a crutch.

Detective Constable Michael Baker added that the others involved in the fight were white men, aged around 18 years old.

Five men, including one from Stanmore and two from Harrow, were arrested by BTP on suspicion of affray and have since been released under investigation, pending further inquiries.

Det Con Baker said: “I would like to speak to anyone who saw or heard the disorder on this train in the early hours of [August 8].

“We need as many accounts as possible from any potential witnesses in order to establish exactly what happened and the sequence of events,” he said.

“The people involved sustained injuries ranging from minor cuts and bruises to a fractured neck. It is essential that we establish the exact circumstances of this violent incident.”
