Pupils painted an “eye-catching” depiction of London to help decorate a new care home.
School children at St George’s Catholic Primary School, in Sudbury Hill, Harrow, created the artwork for Buchanan Court, which is also in Sudbury Hill.
The home is due to open in early 2018 to provide residential, nursing and dementia care, and short-term respite care for up to 80 older people in Harrow.
Justin Daley, construction project manager for Care UK, said: “We were delighted to be able to collaborate with St George’s Catholic Primary School on a lovely art project to brighten up our hoardings.
“We look forward to inviting St George’s Catholic Primary School back to Buchanan Court and working with them on future projects.”
Shirley Sexton, a teacher at the school, added: “We were thrilled when Care UK asked us to be part of their exciting new venture here in Harrow.
“The children had a great time creating the artwork and love seeing it displayed on their walk to school each day.”
