NB Well done to those eagle-eyed readers who guessed this was an April Fools' joke!
Harrow is set to be given an award for being the “cleanest” borough in London.
A ceremony will be held at the Town Hall, in Station Road, this evening, after charity Keepin’ It Clean were “impressed” by the low numbers of fly-tipping incidents being reported.
Mr McBin, the founder of the charity, said: “I have never seen such pristine streets in the whole of London.
“There will be a red carpet stretched out along Station Road for guests to walk along before they enter the awards ceremony.
“I want to highlight how clean the streets are and showcase how rubbish is being neatly packaged into the bins, instead of just being dumped on pavements and alleyways behind shops.”
