Football trials to be coached by staff from Tottenham Hotspur have been announced.

Harrow College is offering the trials at Vale Farm Sports Centre, Watford Road on Monday April, 3 from 10-1pm.

Football fans aged 16-18 can further their career in the field as part of the college’s Education and Football Development Centre 2017/18 in association with the Premier League team.

This year's course is in line with Tottenham Hotspur's transition to Wembley Stadium to play their home games for the 17/18 Premiership season while White Hart Lane is being redeveloped.

The institute gives young athletes a chance to develop their ability while continuing study of a BTEC in sports education.

It is open to both males and females within the local community to develop technical & tactical awareness within football and apply these to the learning and competitive environment.

The course will see qualified FA coaches from Tottenham Hotspur leading three training sessions a week in preparation of weekly matches throughout the season as well as mentoring and sports education.

The Tottenham Hotspur foundation has been working with the college for the past three years to deliver the programme, and it one of places they offer this level of training.

The Harrow College site is one of five development centres working with the club’s charitable branch Tottenham Hotspur Foundation to deliver such training.

The course can also lead to job opportunities in coaching, sports therapy, the fitness industry, leisure management as well as overseas scholarships.

Previous courses have offered SWAT police training, rock climbing, high ropes, army day testing, dodgeball sessions, mobile health clinics for members of the public and a trip to Sky TV studios.

Students could be given exposure to a range of football clubs and are offered career advice sessions with guest speakers from employers and universities visiting the centre.
