Students are celebrating designing the “best” robot in the country.
A group of Year 9 design and technology students at Park High School, in Thistlecroft Gardens, Stanmore, won the Tomorrows Engineers EEP Robotics Challenge at the Big Bang Fair, in Birmingham National Exhibition Centre.
They competed against 250 other schools and had to solve seven different scientific problems, as well as present their robot design to real life engineers.
Jeawoo Rhee, a technology teacher at Park High School who also runs the robotics club, said: “The students worked extremely hard during lunch and after school to build and program a robot to solve seven space missions.
“We are extremely proud of the students’ achievements.”
