A quiz night will be held to help supply emergency food to people in crisis.
The Islamic and Cultural Society of Harrow (ICSH) will be raising money for Harrow Foodbank at St. Helen's School, Eastbury Road, Northwood, on Saturday March 25, at 7pm.
Harrow Foodbank supplies emergency food to people in poverty who have been given a voucher by GP surgeries, school welfare officers, Job Centres or the Citizen Advice Bureau.
Dr Ruba Shahid, a volunteer at ICSH, said: “People think Harrow is so affluent that there is no homelessness or poverty.
“Everyone needs a roof above their heads, food in their stomach and clothes on their body as basic survival necessity.
“I guess we're helping to provide the basics through a fun and relaxed evening that everyone can enjoy.”
