Senior citizens proved they were still young at heart by spending an afternoon honing their Bollywood dancing moves.
The Lions voluntary service organisation district 105a, which covers Harrow, held a party for around 850 people on Sunday, February 19, at Harrow Leisure Centre, Christchurch Avenue.
As the guests arrived, they were treated to songs by Elvis, Dusty Springfield and Lulu, before being instructed how to dance to Bollywood songs.
They were also treated to a meal during the event, as well as a balloon modeller, who was kept busy making flower hats.
The aim of the afternoon was to encourage people who may sometimes feel alone to meet new people.
Imelda Mascarenhas, who works at Saint Erconwalds Catholic Church, in Carlton Avenue, Wembley, said: “Everyone seemed to enjoy the experience and the opportunity to socialise.”
