Car parks in Pinner and Wealdstone have been revealed to charge more by the hour compared to other areas including Belmont, Queensbury and Stanmore.

Spending the afternoon wandering round the shops in St Ann’s Shopping Centre, in Harrow, or getting a hole in one at Harrow Hill Golf Course, in Kenton Road, while leaving your car at the Queens House Car Park, in Kymberley Road, will cost £4.20 all day, Monday to Friday.

However, on Saturdays and Sundays, the car park, which has 450 spaces available, will charge £2.60 between 10am to 6pm.

Visiting the Civic Centre Library, in Milton Road, or the Harrow Council offices, along Station Road, will cost you £1.60 to park for up to an hour, £8 for six hours or £15 for more than six hours, during its opening hours of 8am to 5.30pm, Monday to Friday.

Meanwhile, the car parks in Pinner were revealed to also charge to park per hour.

Chapel Lane Car Park, which is located next to Pinner Memorial Park and the Village Hall, charges 80p per hour up to six hours or £11.40 for more than six hours.

On busy days, the 154 spaces may be filled quickly, so the West House Car Park, in West End Lane, serves as an alternative place to leave your car while you pay a visit to the memorial park or the community centre.

The first 30 minutes are free, but then it costs 80p per hour up to six hours and £11.40 for any longer period of time.

Finding a spot to leave your car in Wealdstone is slightly cheaper. The Peel House Multi-Storey, in Peel Road, is 80p for an hour and so is the Palmerston Road Car Park, in Palmerston Road.

Parking there is useful for trips to the London College Of Business And Law, The International Siddhashram Shakti Centre and the array of shops along the High Street.

Parking at the Leisure Centre, in Christchurch Avenue, while you go for a swim or play netball, is free for three hours from the time issued by the ticket machine.

The Broadway, in Stanmore, has a plethora of eateries which include a Prezzo, Pizza Express, Pecking Order and Nando’s, and to park there while you go for a meal will cost 80p for an hour.

There are also a number of free places to park around Harrow, including both Kenton Lane and Kingshill Drive, in Belmont, as well as Portland Crescent, in Queensbury.
