X Factor rapper Honey G is dramatically returning to The X Factor this weekend, despite being kicked out of the six chair challenge.

The wannabe star from Harrow, real name Anna Georgette Gilford, will be catapulted back into the spotlight at Sharon Osbourne’ Judges houses in Los Angeles.

Honey G’s return comes after Ivy Grace Paredes dropped out of the competition because visa issues left her unable to travel to America for the Judges' Houses section of the show which were filmed earlier this month.

Honey G, 35, told the Mirror: “Basically I got a call saying ‘we want you to do a performance’.

Rapper Honey G from Harrow handed a second chance on X Factor.

"I was like ‘well, what is this? What do you want me to do? Where is it going to be? Is it an X Factor thing? I had no idea.

“And then the next day I got a call from, I think it was from the executive producer, and he said: ‘Right, we want you back in the show.

"Sharon wants you, we all want you to come back – somebody’s had to pull out and we want you to come back.”

The news was confirmed on ITV2 show The Xtra Factor, meaning Honey G still has a chance of winning an unlikely recording deal with Simon Cowell.

Honey G has drawn criticism and lots of debate amongst viewers, as some think she is a spoof or fake act.

Cowell even described her as “a joke” after her first audition.

But the recruitment boss insists she is 100 percent committed to becoming a rapper full time.

She said: “Honey G is me. I’m not Jay Z, I’m not Drake, I’m not Lil Wayne, I’m not Missy Elliott, I’m Honey G. I grew up as a very, very young child singing to blues records, rock and roll records, jive records.

“I then moved into piano and guitar. I’ve come from a musical family, my mum’s a retired pianist.

“I grew up with piano and guitar playing like Michael Jackson, George Michael and Jamiroquai – blues and rock and roll on the piano.

“Then in the early 2000’s, you know I started raving when I was 14. I was very tall when I was young and I could get in anywhere I wanted to. So I was in the dance scene at a very young age.

“Then my early twenties I started DJing in the North West of the UK and I launched my own club night which was called Love Vibe which was dedicated to promoting mainly urban female talent.”
