Police are appealing for witnesses after a car crash left a man in a life threatening condition.

Officers were called to Sheepcote Road in Harrow, by London Ambulance Service at 7.25am on Friday September 23.

At this early stage, police believe the moped was involved in a collision with one or two vehicles.

One vehicle is believed to be a car and the other is believed to be a van.

Neither vehicle stopped at the scene when the crash happened.

The rider, a 37-year-old man, was taken by ambulance to a central London hospital.

His next of kin have been told.

The driver of the car returned to the scene.

He has been interviewed under caution.

No arrests have been made.
