People living in Stanmore are invited to remember those who died during the Battle of Britain.
The Parish of St John the Evangelist Church in Church Road, Stanmore is inviting council members and Harrow mayor Councillor Rekha Shah to the service this weekend.
A thanksgiving service will begin from 11.05am on Sunday September 18, and is supported by the representative deputy lieutenant, John Purnell, senior RAF personnel, cadet units and ex-service organisations.
The Battle of Britain was a combat of the Second World War, when the RAF defended the UK against the German Air Force attacks.
Members are asked to meet at 10.40am at Church House, Old Church Lane in the Micklem Hall at rear of the building.
Following the service, the Mayor will make a brief speech of thanks and refreshments will be available at the Church centre.
People are reminded to allow enough time for parking, as there may not be enough places near the Church.
