The majority of MPs in north London voted to keep Britain’s nuclear weapons last night.
An evening debate was held after the government called for the renewal of the Trident nuclear deterrent system.
Of the 11 MPs across Harrow, Barnet, Enfield and Haringey, eight voted for keeping the four submarines armed with missiles which make up the UK’s nuclear defences, which included all Conservative MPs.
The three which voted against the motion were both Haringey MPs, and a member of the Labour shadow cabinet.
