A man who has absconded whilst on unescorted leave from a mental health unit is believed to have links to Harrow.

Asad Taibzadah, 32, left St. Ann's Hospital, in Haringey, on Friday, February 5, at 10.15am and was due back at 10.45am but failed to return.

He was detained under the Mental Health Act and is known to be violent.

Police are warning people not to approach him if seen but to call 999.

Taibzadah is described as of south Asian appearance, 5ft 6ins in height and of medium build, with shoulder-length black hair. He was last seen wearing black trousers, a grey jacket, black jumper and brown shoes.

He is believed to have links to Kings Cross and Harrow.
