A man from Harrow has been banned from supermarkets after he was caught shoplifting alcohol in Pinner.
Dean Hinson, 43, of The Meadow Way, was convicted at Hendon Magistrates' Court of shoplifting two bottles of whiskey and two bottles of champagne from Sainsbury's in Pinner on December 15, 2015.
He was sentenced to four weeks in prison and ordered to pay victim surcharges totalling £230.
Hinson was also served with a Criminal Behaviour Order (CBO) with conditions not to enter any branch of Tesco, Marks & Spencer, Waitrose, Debenhams, Morrisons, John Lewis, Homebase, or Sainsbury's.
He is also not to enter any shop or commercial premises from which he has been banned in writing and not to remain in any shop or commercial premises if asked to leave by staff.
The order is in force throughout Greater London and Hertfordshire for a period of three years.
PC Stuart Hutchinson, Harrow Anti-Social Behaviour Unit, said: "Police in Harrow take shoplifting and anti-social behaviour seriously and we will do our very best to ensure that offenders will be brought to justice.
"We will use all powers available, such as CBOs, to curb the behaviour of those who cause disruption to local neighbourhoods and businesses."
