BOUNCERS must be on duty throughout the week after a large fight broke out in a pub.
The Honeypot Pub – often known as Everest Spice – has been the subject of a licensing dispute.
Earlier this year, the Brent Licensing Team made an application for a review of the premises licence at the pub in Honeypot Lane, Queensbury.
The police presented its case to the Brent council’s licensing committee on Thursday, August 27 at Brent Civic Centre following a large fight at the venue on Friday, June 26.
The pub and restaurant was also visited in April where breaches of their premises licence were discovered and they were issued with a warning letter.
As a result, the committee has imposed four additional conditions to be added to their current premises licence, including a minimum of two bouncers on duty from 8pm on Fridays and Saturdays and one on duty from 8pm Sunday to Thursday.
The licensee must then use the ratio of one doorman for every 75 customers through the doors.
There must also be at least one licence holder on duty from 8pm until the bar closes Friday to Sunday, and all staff must receive documented licensing training.
PC Paul Whitcomb, Brent licensing officer, said: "All licensed venues in Brent have a responsibility to prevent crime and disorder linked to their premises and we will not hesitate to take action against any venue that is not upholding the licensing objectives."
