A drug dealer has been jailed for more than three years after police caught him climbing through a window of a house.
On Tuesday, July 1 last year, officers were carrying out arrest enquiries when they saw John Perry, of Windsor Road, Harrow, climbing through the window of a house.
Suspecting he was a burglar, officers entered the property to speak to him and Perry stated that he was out on the roof smoking cannabis.
A search was carried out at the address and a rucksack, which contained a large amount of cocaine and cannabis along with a large amount of cash and drug paraphernalia, was discovered between the conservatory and the back fence.
He was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply class A and B drugs and was found guilty and sentenced at Harrow Crown Court on August 5.
Detective Constable Gemma Fraser said: "This is an excellent result. Not only has Mr Perry been convicted of these offences but also a vast amount of drugs have been taken off of the streets, along with cash, and this will have caused real disruption to the organisation involved."
