Football fans will be giving out a big cheer after Harrow council voted in favour of approving plans to extend a stadium.
In May Barnet FC, who play at The Hive stadium in Camrose Avenue, Edgware, submitted a planning application to Harrow council to extend its north stand.
The application says the north stand, which would be used as a dedicated area for away fans, would be in keeping with the “scale and appearance” of the newly renovated west stand.
Despite the club’s recent promotion from the Vanarama Conference League, it does not expect the number of fans attending matches to exceed 5,176.
At a planning committee meeting last month, councillors voted to approve the plans.
