Broken gadgets were give a quick jump-start at a community repair event.

Technology lovers from across the borough joined together at Gayton Library on Saturday, July 25 to attend the Rubbish Diet’s third Restart Party.

Visitors were paired with volunteers who shared their repair skills and showed them how to diagnose, trouble-shoot and fix the problems with their devices.

Community repair events, called Restart Parties, have been taking place all over London to empower people to fix instead of binning their broken electronics.

The Rubbish Diet is working in partnership with Harrow Libraries to develop more activities to help people learn repair skills, with the next party being held on October 10, from 11am to 2pm.
