A heroin dealer from Harrow has been jailed for more than two years.

Ariyo Julien-Charles, 22, has been sentenced to two years and four months’ imprisonment for possessing with intent to supply heroin.

The 22-year-old, who lives in Leamington Crescent, was sentenced at Harrow Crown Court on Monday, July 13 after pleading guilty on Monday, June 15.

The Metropolitan Police Service said officers from the Harrow Crime Squad were patrolling in Kings Road when they spotted a taxi travelling in the opposite direction.

Detectives said Julien-Charles was sitting in the front passenger seat of the taxi and turned his head away and slumped down into his seat after seeing the patrol car.

The taxi then turned left into Hamilton Crescent and the 22-year-old had got out of the car before police stopped the car.

When searched, a “substantial amount of cash” and four mobile phones were found in his shoulder bag and he was also found in possession of two wraps of heroin.

PC Mary Hogan, from Harrow Crime Squad, said: “This is a good result for the community of Harrow and I am pleased that a drug dealer has been taken off the streets.

“We will continue to target drug dealers and bring to justice those intent on breaking the law in Harrow.”
