Nostalgia and tea was a recipe for success as the annual Vintage Affair helped raise more than £4,000 for charity.

The event at the Michael Sobell Hospice, in Rickmansworth Road, Northwood, saw the vintage tea rooms packed with visitors who were entertained by the Tony Oliver Jazz Band, Stardust Big Band, Mixed Emotions Band and Pimp My Jazz.

There were beautiful classic cars on show from the Uxbridge and District Classic Vehicle as well as free Vintage hair styling and many vintage stalls and a musical comedy act by Victoria Sponge.

Now into its fifth year, children also had the opportunity to meet Jimmy Jam Tots Bear from the Windmill Studio in Ruislip Manor.

Volunteer event organiser Beverley Garber said: “This is the fifth year that we have planned this popular event.  It is a lovely local day out, people can spend a few hours looking at lovely cars and browsing vintage stalls, whilst listening to some great music and enjoying a lot of good old fashioned fun.

“Thanks so much to everyone who came along and supported the event and to all the volunteers and groups who gave up their free time for this very worthwhile local charity.”
